
This extensive which will provide those interested in Bird Management & Falconry with a complete grounding in the practicalities of this absorbing & rewarding hobby.
During this five days, you will have the opportunity to learn about the many aspects of keeping Birds of Prey from those with many years experience in the art.
Under the direct supervision of our Head Falconer or his Deputy, the Falconry for Beginners Course starts in the classroom with the basics and progresses to cover all the fundamentals of modern bird management including manning, equipment, accommodation, diet, health & hygiene, legislation and the etiquette of falconry.
During the Course you will work in the field with magnificent hawks and buzzards as you learn how to train and man Birds of Prey for free flight, developing care, understanding and confidence as you handle them. Detailed Course Notes will be provided for your reference and at the end of the Course you will spend an afternoon putting theory into practice in the field, hunting with a Harris Hawk:.
