The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is open daily
from January 2nd to December 23rd.
Winter schedule daily from end September until Easter*
The centre has aviaries housing over 80 owls and other birds of prey plus features a woodland walk with Red Squirrels, Meerkat Kastle & the S.O.S. Owl Safari for youngsters. There are no formal flying displays during the winter but the birds are exercised regularly and you are welcome to watch. Meerkat Feeding Sessions take place daily - please ask at reception for details. (Please note we are closed from December 24th to December 26th and on January 1st.)
October 30th - HALLOWEEN HOOT
A half-term treat where those who dare can follow the Tombstone Trail, go bobbing for apples, try their hand at lantern making, complete the S.O.S. Safari and more!
CHRISTMAS WITH THE OWLS November 26th & 27th
Our famous seasonal event will enable both you and your family to get your festive frivolities off to a great start. Our owls and birds of prey will be joined by Father Christmas, his wonderful reindeer plus some other surprise events and guests too. For more details, follow us on

Summer schedule daily from Easter until end September
Our flying season starts at Easter. Fllying demonstrations take place daily interspersed with Meet The Meerkat feeding times at 11.00 and 3.00. Our unique come-and-go admission ticket means you can see all the shows - each one featuring 4 different owls and birds of prey - plus both meerkat sessions, but leave the Sanctuary to look around the Stonham Barns complex whenever you like.

Photo Workshop Days at the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary offer something special for all keen photographers - a day in the close company of owls, with an expert wildlife photographer on hand to offer tips & tricks of how to get the best from the experience - find out more here

PLEASE NOTE: PHOTO WORKSHOP DAYS are activity courses which are run at the Centre in tandem with our normal operations, attractions & events. All visitors to S.O.S. are welcome to take any photos or videos of our birds and other animals without charge.
