SENIOR CATEGORY WINNER

MIKE ARREFF for his portrait of Rocky, the Turkey Vulture at Suffolk Owl Sanctuary

Our Annual Photo Competition for visitors to S.O.S. has proved very successful again this year, with over 270 high-quality submissions received - enough to give the judges a harder than usual time trying to reach their decisions!

Whilst the birds and wildlife at the centre always provide very photogenic subject matter, nevertheless each entry to the competition seemed to include something that made the pictures personal and individual. The composition, lighting, demeanour of the subjects and sometimes the light touch of photo enhancement all contributed to what the judges considered to be many worthwhile and commendable achievements.

Congratulations and thanks to all who entered, and thanks also to all those who cast their votes on social media for the People's Choice and Best Caption categories.  We look forward to hearing from you again in 2019!
