Countryside & Falconry Fair to raise funds for Suffolk wildlife charity at weekend
The Countryside & Falconry Fair at Stonham Barns this coming weekend, 15th & 16th September, has been organised by the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary as a fundraiser to support the running of its rescue and rehabilitation scheme for injured wild owls and other birds of prey.
The Charity hopes the initiative will provide funding to enable a new raptor hospital to be completed. This has been purpose-designed to increase the capacity for an increasing number of injured birds of prey brought into the centre, and enable a greater number to be released back to the wild fit and flying free.
The Countryside Fair will host a number of show ring events including carriage driving, heavy horse logging demonstrations, the Dog & Duck Show, falconry & gun-dog displays and the spectacular Free Spirit Horseback & Falconry display which this year will feature some of the horses featured in the Game of Thrones TV series.
