Our Raptor Hospital provides specialist care for injured, sick and orphaned wild birds of prey from across the region.
If you have found a bird that may need assistance, please contact our rescue helpline in the first instance. Our experienced team will talk through the situation with you, assess whether intervention is required, and advise on the safest next steps for both you and the bird.
We work in partnership with local veterinary practices, and our avian specialist Lead Vet, Dr. Elliott Simpson-Brown, ensuring every bird receives appropriate veterinary assessment and treatment when needed.
Our hospital is equipped with dedicated on-site facilities including triage and examination areas, small treatment pens, rehabilitation aviaries for fitness and flight conditioning, and hack pens for a monitored soft release back into the wild.
Our trained and experienced staff provide professional handling, first aid, treatment, husbandry and ongoing rehabilitation tailored specifically to wild birds of prey.
We are proud members of the British Wildlife Rehabilitation Council (BWRC). Membership demonstrates our commitment to recognised national standards in wildlife rehabilitation, animal welfare, biosecurity and ethical release practices, ensuring every bird admitted receives care based on current best practice.
The BWRC website offers a helpful directory of registered wildlife rehabilitation centers across the UK. If you have found a bird that is not a bird of prey, unfortunately we are unable to help as we do not have the facilities or resources on site. Please follow the link below to the BWRC website for other registered rehabilitation centres.
Supporting Our Rescue Work
Working alongside local veterinary partners, our purpose-built Raptor Hospital treats injured, sick and malnourished birds of prey from across the region before returning them to the wild where we can.
This work is funded largely through public support and donations, which help cover veterinary care, medication, feeding and rescue transport. Every contribution helps us return more birds to the skies. Thankyou for your support!
